Preventing my teeth from cracking – What can I do?

Cracked teeth cannot be completely preventable, but some steps can be taken to make your teeth less susceptible to cracks.

• Don’t clench or grind your teeth
• If you are unconciously clenching or grinding your teeth when you sleep, immediately talk to your dentist.  He will recommend a retainer or mouthguard to protect your teeth.
• Don’t chew on hard object such as ice, pens, uncracked crab etc.
• If you are playing contact sports, wear a mouthguard or a protective mask.
